EME Eagles recognized veterans and those serving in our military with a Veterans Day assembly. The Taylorsville High School ROTC presented the flag, Officer Ryan Jonkman talked about our flag and what it symbolizes and 5th grade students shared how Veterans Day began, what are the branches of our military are and why we mark the day each year. The students were captivated by the videos and the presentation. Thank you to the PTA for organizing thank you letters and the flags at the front of the school and to Mrs. Caldwell and Ms. Fatai for organizing the assembly.
Students did thank you cards for those serving around the world and these will be sent through Operation Gratitude by the PTA.
