Who We Are
East Midvale Elementary has been a neighborhood elementary school for over 50 years. Each day, our student body of 500 pre-school through 5th grade students have breakfast in the classroom, engaging academics, high quality teaching, social and emotional learning lessons, enrichment programs and fun!
We have an morning and afternoon preschool Monday through Thursday and an all day Kindergarten Monday through Friday.
In 2012, we became a Community School partnering with United Way of Salt Lake and many other businesses and organizations to support students and families outside the classroom.
East Midvale Eagles SOAR through (S) self-management, (O) ownership, (A) Acceptance and (R) resilience.
Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming and nurturing school environment where all students are supported in their learning and achieve success.
2019-2020 ACADEMIC Goals
Our goal every day is to engage every student in learning. In 2021-22, our goal is to have 90% of our students making typical to above typical growth in the reading and math Pathways to Progress measures. At the end of three years, we intend to have 100% of our students making typical to above typical growth.
Our #1 Goal to be reached by May 2020 is to have teachers demonstrating mastery in planning their foundations block cohesively so that they can increase the percentage of students who reach at or above typical progress using the DIBELS Pathways of Progress as a measurement.
Administration and faculty will work within sub-groups of students as well to increase the percentage of proficiency and growth.
