2022 TEACHER OF THE YEAR is Mr. Greg Platner! Mr. Platner has been teaching 4th grade at East Midvale for 7 years. He is an intentional educator who strives to continuous learn himself. He is a respected leader in our school community. He shares his love of sports (basketball in particular) with students at recess and in prior Afterschool clubs. He facilitates our All Pro Dad program sharing his commitment to building strong families. His students say he is a super cool teacher who cares about their learning as much as who they are and their interests. Mr. Platner likes to have fun and is funny! His wife, three kids and parents (who happened to be in town visiting) were present when the announcement was made – amidst much applause and confetti!
