THANK YOU to all the parents and guardians who attended spring conferences. When we work together, all our students can achieve goals and succeed! The Scholastic Book Fair was a great success also earning over $1,600.00 in Scholastic dollars to buy books for students, teachers and classrooms.
READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK
This coming week at East Midvale, activities will highlight the importance of reading. Thank you to UWSL and CHG for purchasing new books for classroom libraries and volunteering to read in those classrooms.
GUESS THE DAY’S THEME! Each day this week, faculty and staff will dress in a common theme that is related to a well known book or book character. Students can guess the day’s theme and a book to fit! Join in by following on social media Instagram posts @eastmidvale
PTA PARENTS AND PASTRIES – Bring your child to school early on Friday March 7 with a blanket and a book and start the day reading together. Our PTA will provide donuts from 7:40-8:10 am in the gym. “DONUT” forget to read for 20 minutes every day!
UFB FREE GROCERIES: On Tuesday March 4, students can pick up a bag of free groceries at the end of the school day. If possible, please plan to pick up your student or meet them at the bus stop to carry the 20 pounds of food given.

HILLCREST HIGH CULTURAL NIGHT: On March 12 from 5:00-7:30 pm at Hillcrest High, come celebrate the multitudes of cultures in our community. FREE food from food trucks (hala, vegan & gluten free available), a talent show, crafts, community information.
Free WIFI and INTERNET – Canyons District continues to provide free internet for families through Comcast Internet Essentials. To enroll, reply to this post or call Mrs. McCall at East Midvale at 801 826 8406. Ask for a Comcast Code. Then call Comcast at 1-844-963 0178 with the code.
USED CHROMEBOOKS are also available at no cost for families who do not have any technology at home for their students. These Chromebooks have been previously used in the District. There is no technical support provided. Please talk to Mrs. McCall or reply to this post.
