WEDNESDAY MARCH 12 – There is a lot happening!
PTA FAMILY SKATE NIGHT 5:00 – 8:30 pm: Admission to Classic Skate (address: 9151 South 255 West in Sandy) is free for all East Midvale community members. Bring your own skates, rollerblades, or scooters. You can also rent a pair for $3.00. An unlimited games bracelet is $10.00. Join your friends for fun and meet new friends in our community.
VACCINE CLINIC from 3:00-6:00 pm – Canyons School District’s Nursing Department is sponsoring a vaccine clinic at the Canyons District Offices, 9361 S. 300 East in Sandy (south entrance). At CSD’s clinic, qualifying students can receive school-required vaccines at no cost, including the MMR vaccine, which protects against measles, mumps, and rubella. Bring your insurance card but not required.
HILLCREST HIGH CULTURAL NIGHT: From 5:00-7:30 pm at Hillcrest High, come celebrate the multitudes of cultures in our community. FREE food from food trucks (hala, vegan & gluten free available), a talent show, crafts, community information.
TUESDAY MARCH 18 UPFH MOBILE MEDICAL AND VISION CLINIC – Medical trailer is parked in the front of the school and you check in at the front office. Clinic is for adults /families with Medicaid or are uninsured. Call 801-998-2410 for an appointment.
Students with vision concerns were scheduled by Nurse Clegg and parents were notified.
WEDNSDAY MARCH 19 ALL PRO DADS – Fathers and father figures bring your students to a breakfast gathering at 7:45 am. The topic is Gratitude. Mr. Wilhite will show a great video clip, will have discussion questions and an activity about gratitude. RSVP requested on Parent Square post by Tuesday.
THURSDAY MARCH 20 SPRING PHOTOS – Bell Photo will be at East Midvale taking individual and classroom photos. There are a limited number of basic packages available at no charge. Please contact Ms. McCall if you would not otherwise be able to afford these photos and would like them.
THURSDAY MARCH 20 OPERATION SANDWICH JR – Our monthly service project making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for St. Vincent de Paul soup kitchen is Thursday from 3:00-3:45 pm. If you are interested in volunteering, please let Ms. McCall know. Student Council students volunteer at this activity. Thank you!

Free WIFI and INTERNET – Canyons District continues to provide free internet for families through Comcast Internet Essentials. To enroll, reply to this post or call Mrs. McCall at East Midvale at 801 826 8406. Ask for a Comcast Code. Then call Comcast at 1-844-963 0178 with the code.
USED CHROMEBOOKS are also available at no cost for families who do not have any technology at home for their students. These Chromebooks have been previously used in the District. There is no technical support provided. Please talk to Mrs. McCall or reply to this post.
