RED CARPET – Tomorrow is the first day of school for Grades 1-5th. Parents please join us as we welcome all our students to the new school year as they walk the Red Carpet. This event is held on west side of school starting at 8:15 am.
RED CARPET FIRST DAY for Kinder and Preschool is Thursday August 24th which is their first day of school. Students line up with their class on the blacktop to the west of the playground. They will follow their teacher in a line from that area to the front doors of red hall to go to their new classes.
BELL SCHEDULE
- Mon-Thursday schedule – Students enter the building at 8:10 am at the first bell. Classroom routine begins at 8:15 am with breakfast. School is dismissed at 2:50 pm.
- Friday schedule – Students enter the building at 8:10 am at the first bell. Classroom routine begins at 8:15 am with breakfast. Early dismissal is at 1:10 pm.
BREAKFAST and LUNCH AT SCHOOL is NO COST for our students. Parents do not need to put any money on lunch accounts for those attending East Midvale Elementary. Click here for menus. You can set preferred language in top right corner of page. Please make sure to fill out the Free and Reduced Application on your Skyward Registration. This helps us understand the need in our community and continue to receive funding for Title I programs.
SAFE PICK UP AND DROP OFF: The vehicle lane in front of our school is only to drop off or pick up your student. At morning drop off, there is no parking or waiting for the bell to ring while in that lane. If you would like to wait or walk your student to their line, please park in the lot. At afternoon pick up, if you are waiting for the bell to ring, you need to remain with the vehicle at all times. If you or your student needs more time to transition to and from school, please park in the parking lot and cross at the crosswalk flags. Thank you.
FREE WIFI INTERNET – Canyons District continues to provide free internet for families through Comcast Internet Essentials. To enroll, reply to this post or call Mrs. McCall at East Midvale at 801 826 8406. Ask for a Comcast Code. Then call Comcast at 1-844-963 0178 with the code.
FAMILY LEARNING CENTER: English classes for parents are starting soon Classes are Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 10:00 am. Newcomers are welcomed! Call Kenia Bush at 801-865-5591 with questions.

FRESH PRODUCE MARKET Tuesday August 22 at 2:30 pm. Thank you Rancho Markets and community funders for this resource. Parents can pick up a bag of fresh produce while supplies last.
