East Midvale Elementary School Community Council 

Faculty SCC Members:  Matthew Nelson, Gregory Platner, Mont Milleberg-School Board Representative

Parent SCC Members:  Daniel Berry, Jeanifer Berry, Elizabeth Mangus, Ashlea Wilkes, Ehin Wilkes

Agenda Items:

1. Review and approve February 22nd meeting minutes
2. Review proposed School Improvement Plan for 2023/2024 School year. 

Minutes:  The Feb. 22nd meeting minutes were read and approved.  Ashlea Wilkes made a motion to approve and that was seconded by Ehin Wilkes and then approved by the council.  Mr. Nelson went through the proposed Land Trust Plan and the TSSP.  

Land Trust Proposed Expenditures

• $69,671 expected funding
• $7,000 expected carry over
• $76,671 expected total funding
• Costs
  • $9,500 on subs for selected teacher PD
  • Interventionist #1  $27,000 to support basic math and reading skills goals for K-3
  • Interventionist #2 $30,500 to support basic math and reading skills goals for K-3
  • Field Trip costs-Transportation and Entrance Fees:  $9671
• Total Expenditures of:  $76,671

TSSP Proposed Expenditures

• $75,000 expected funding
• $7,500 expected carryover
• $82,500 expected total funding
• Costs
  • $20,000 for School Wide Positive Behavioral supports
    • School Store
    • Tier 2 intervention incentives
  • $40,000 on student intervention mentor 
    • Attendance mentor
    • Tier two interventions
  • $12,000  for a 20 hour ML focus interventionist
    • Support students who are learning english to acquire basic math and reading skills
  • $10,000 for Standards aligned assessment system
• Total Expenditures of: $82,000
  • Carryover of $500
