Meeting Minutes

5:41 AmberLee Standring made a motion to start the meeting. All approved.

5:42 Approve minutes from Feb. adopted and seconded.

5:43 Behavior and attendance data: Goal is to reduce office discipline referrals. We are on track for our goal which is 20%. We are sitting at 18%. Attendance data term 1 60%, term 2 49%, term 3 52%. We are up from last year. We know that if we can get kids here we can get them to learn. We are hoping to keep pushing and get back to 60% for term 4.

5:45 Current budget status: For Landtrust it pays for our interventionists. We will use most of the Landtrust budget. TSSP will be within 10%.

5:46 Safety Drill Report: We had a carbon monoxide drill this week.

5:48 Review – Final Plan: Met with BLT we had a great meeting around school goals. Shifting our climate goal over to attendance. We want to shift and make sure that we have a system with funding. All of BLT agreed. Next year we are going to be very proactive with attendance. A thought is to initiate attendance dinners to welcome families into our school. Shelley will be pulled in to help.

5:52 TSSP 26-27 Discussion and Plan-

The question was asked: why are some items listed as “0”? This is because they don’t cost us anything, but we include them to highlight areas we want to focus on as a school.

Next year, we are shifting from SLACK to Google.

The report does not include our Title funding, though we have an estimate for it. We plan to use that money for Home Visits, Teacher FTE, School Counselor, MTSS Assistants, and Recess Aides.

With our TSSA (Land Trust) funding, we plan to add a 0.5 Literacy Multilingual Learner Teacher Coach. The SCC was excited about this idea and had no additional questions.

For our reading goal, we are breaking it down by grade level. In math, the goal is the same for the whole school and is based on student growth. Specifically, our goal is for 80% of students to be placed in the support or strengthen categories. When asked if there were any questions about our school goals, the SCC had none.

During BLT, we also discussed tracking on-track attendance data using baseline data. Our goal for next year is to reach 60% attendance by the end of Term 3. The SCC did not have any questions about this either.

6:12 Motion was made to adopt the TSSP 26-27 Plan. It was seconded and approved unanimously.

6:14 Input from community: Question was asked if the admin training we got feedback on how to improve attendance. We have a plan next year for school attendance tiers. This summer the plan will be finalized.

6:23 Motion to adjourn, motion was seconded. Approved unanimously.
