SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR Wednesday! PTA and parent volunteers are hosting a Scholastic book fair in conjunction with our Parent Teacher conferences. Shop between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Wednesday in the library. Find books with your child to read and foster a love of reading. With every sale, East Midvale earns “Scholastic dollars” to purchase more books for classrooms and teachers!
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES this week Sept. 27-28! Sign up to meet at the school or by phone. Talk with your student’s teacher and learn how we all can work together towards your student’s success! Interpreters for Spanish and Arabic available both days. Dari, Pashto, Swahili, French available in person on Thursday. Please request language interpreter in sign up.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE FOLLOWING:
- VISION CLINIC – Tues. Sept. 26 – Students need to be pulled from class to be seen by the vision clinic staff and need to pick glasses’ frames. Sign up on Parent Square sent last week.
- BOOK FAIR – Wed. Sept 27 – Volunteers needed to set up the book fair Wed. 8:30-9:30 am, to work the register 2:00-4:30 and 4:30-7:00 pm and to clean up. Sign up on Parent Square sent last week.
- PTA REFLECTIONS CONTEST COMMITTEE: Volunteers needed who are willing to collect and judge students entries to the 23-24 Reflections contest with theme – “Accepting Imperfection “. Original works of art will be submitted to fill in the blank after “I am hopeful because…”.
SAFE MORNING DROP OFF: Thank you parents for pulling all the way forward in the drop off lane when bringing students to school. Please have your students exit your vehicle curbside to be most safe. Student Safety Patrol has begun and we ask you to be aware of those students as they learn their roles.
BREAKFAST PICK UP – All students from Kinder through 5th grade can pick up breakfast before school in the cafeteria. All students enter through the door on the north side of the school. Bus students are directed to unload the bus and get breakfast directly. Students then eat breakfast with their class in the classroom.
FRESH PRODUCE MARKET Tuesday Sept. 26 at 2:30 pm. Parents can pick up a bag of fresh produce while supplies last. Thank you Rancho Markets and community funders for this resource.
