TUESDAY OCTOBER 8 – FREE GROCERIES from Utah Food Bank – Distribution is done at the end of the school day in the cafeteria. Students can pick up the bag of food and parents can meet their students outside the north gym door or at the bus stop to help carry the twenty pounds of food. Kindergarten students who are the oldest at East Midvale will receive a bag at the end of red hall.
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 16 – ALL PRO DADS at 7:45 am in Gym. Fathers and father figures are invited to bring their students to a breakfast gathering on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:45 am. Mr. Wilhite will show a fun video and have discussion questions and an activity about PURPOSE. Look for the Parent Square invitation to RSVP
UNITY DAY! We are excited to celebrate Unity Day on October 16th at EME! This day is all about coming together to embrace kindness, acceptance, and unity within our school. Students are invited to wear SOAR t-shirts and will have fun activities to participate in at school.

PTA REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST SUBMISSIONS DUE TUESDAY OCT. 22 – Any student may submit a piece of Art using the theme “Accepting Imperfections”. This can be 2D or 3D art, a written piece, a photograph, a film production, a musical composition or a dance video. Parents can register the submission online at this website and include a picture: www.UtahPTA.org/ref
If you are unable to submit online, the PTA will do so and send home a form for parent signature. Submissions count towards Soaring Eagle awards that are given in each classroom. Judging at East Midvale will happen by Friday Oct. 25.
BIG SMILES DENTAL CLINIC – On Monday October 28 and Tuesday October 29, Big Smiles will be hosting a dental clinic for students. Applications were sent home in Thursday folders last week. You can also go online at www.myschooldentist.com for an application.
If you would like your student to be seen for a cleaning, x rays and cavity check by the dentist and you have insurance, please enter the information on the form. If your student is uninsured, there is an additional grant form to be filled out. Spaces are limited.
