FREE GROCERIES from the UTAH FOOD BANK: On Tuesday November 7, the Utah Food Bank and volunteers from Snap Finance will be distributing a bag of free groceries to students and families. Any student with a need can stand in line for a bag. The bags are heavy (20 pounds) and if you are able to either pick up your student at school or at the bus stop to help carry, that would be helpful. If you would like your family to receive a bag, please remind your student to attend.
WELLNESS FAIR AT HILLCREST: You and your family are invited to a community wellness fair at Hillcrest High School on November 8th from 5pm-7:30pm. There will be free student haircuts, flu shots, childhood immunizations, and awesome community resources.
ALL PRO DADS is back! Fathers and father figures are invited to bring their students to a breakfast gathering on the 2nd Friday of each month. The first All Pro Dads meeting is Friday November 17 at 7:30 am. Mr. Heath, our school psychologist, will talk about Determination. “If you are dependable, the people in your life know they can count on you to do what you say you’re going to do. By being dependable, you show others respect and make it easy for them to trust you.” There is a fun video and activity. VETERANS DAY RECOGNITION – On Friday November 9, flags will cover the front lawn of our school. This display is to acknowledge and appreciate those who have served and are currently serving in the armed forces working to keep our country safe and secure.

THANKSGIVING MEALS – There is an opportunity to receive a box of uncooked items to make a Thanksgiving meal – a frozen turkey, potatoes, vegetable, etc. Delivery on Saturday November 18. If you have the facilities to prepare the meal, will be at the address provided on the delivery date Nov. 18 and would like to request the meal, please fill out an application in front office or online. Application deadline is November 10.
