Last week was full of fun. Kindergarteners waved goodbye and sang an adorable rendition of “First Grade First Grade” to the packed house of parents. East Midvale also hosted good-bye events for faculty and staff who are moving on after this school year. Thank you and best wishes to: Ms. Caldwell and Ms. Jenkins (5th grade), Mr. Platner and Ms. Riley (4th grade), Mr. Torr (3rd grade), Ms. Teasley (2nd grade), Melissa Porter and Lena Johnson (SPED), Mr. Moody (School Psychologist Intern) and Coach K (Gym BB).

- PRODUCE MARKET -Parent can pick up a bag of fresh produce at 2:30 while supplies last. This week it will be spinach, cilantro, tomato, Mexican squash, cantaloupe, mangos, and plantains
WEDNESDAY MAY 24 – There is no kindergarten today. Parents are invited to the following
- Awards & SOTM Assembly 9:00 am – 3rd, 4th and 5th grades
- Awards & SOTM Assembly 10:30 am – 1st and 2nd grades
- AM (8:30 am) and PM (12:30 pm) Preschool Graduation in Library
THURSDAY MAY 24 is All School Field Days – Send students to school with clothing and shoes for outdoor (wet) fun with a towel if possible and sunscreen too.

- Softball game 5th grade v. faculty ~ 9:00 am

SUMMER MEALS – East Midvale Elementary is one of four sites in Canyons District that will provide FREE breakfast and lunch for any child 18 years and under this summer. This service is from June 5-July 28 Monday through Friday. Breakfast served 8:30-9:30 am and lunch served 11:30-12:30 pm. CSD Summer Meal Information

Operation Sandwich Jr. at EME
Student Council and Junior Coaches made 200 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on Thursday to support Operation Sandwich. These sandwiches were delivered to the St. Vincent de Paul soup kitchen in downtown Salt Lake and were gratefully received! Way to go Eagles for this serving those in need in our bigger community!
