Parent Update Week of Jan. 24-28, 2022

AT HOME LEARNING DAY:  Friday January 28, 2022

LIVING TRADITIONS:  In 2022 we are focusing on the Americas and grade levels are doing displays on and artwork  Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela and the United States of America.  An open house for parents will be Thursday February 3.  A recipe book called The Breads of the Americas will be provided.  Daily posts will be sent to families with fun informative facts about each country.

5th GRADE SCIENCE FAIR:  Fifth grade invites our community to be curious and to learn what they learned by visiting the green hall during Living Traditions Night Feb. 3.  Projects will be set up there.

TEACHER OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS:  Are you amazed and impressed with your student’s teacher?  Please consider nominating them for the East Midvale Teacher of the Year.  Click HERE  to submit a nomination form.   Nominations due by Feb. 4!

  1. When crossing from the parking lot to the building please use the crosswalk.
  2. Do not park or wait in the left lane when dropping off or picking up.
  3. Let your child out of the vehicle on the right side or curbside.  Letting your child out of the left side of your car puts them by moving cars.
  4. Do not drop your student off in the parking lot because it blocks the traffic trying to leave the parking lot.  Use the drop off lane. If you are parking and walking them over this is fine.
  5. Don’t walk across or park on the south side where the buses need to go.
  6. Watch speed and look carefully before pulling out of the drop off lane.
