STUDENT HEALTH TIP of the WEEK from Nurse Amy – Getting enough exercise improves academics, sleep, mental health and overall physical health. One hour or more of moderate to vigorous exercise per day is recommended. Encourage your kids to get outside and play!.

Childhood is a great time to start a positive body image. Here are a few tips!

  1. No forbidden foods – all foods can fit within a healthy diet. Just encourage mindful eating.
  2. Don’t give food as a reward or withhold it as punishment.
  3. Don’t make judgmental comments about body shapes and sizes.
