Students have learned all week about Africa. On Thursday night, families were included in the learning process. Everyone received a passport to travel to 6 of the 54 countries in Africa. Questions on the passport were answered by studying the grade level displays. Art decorated the halls and walls. Thank you to Ngoma A’frica for a taste of African food and for showing some cultural baskets, drums, and dances.
Students will continue reading story books and chapter books in library through February with stories about cultures and characters in Africa. Thank you to United Way of Salt Lake for partnering with us in this learning.
