Welcome back to school Eagles! Monday began with a red carpet welcome for 1st to 5th grades with special guests from Real Salt Lake. Students and parents were excited.
Tuesday was our Back to School event with dinner and varied information booths for families to visit. Free haircuts in the garden and the PTA Carnival on the south lawn!
Wednesday we welcomed our newest Eagles – Kindergarten Class of 2039. The oldest Eagles (5th grade) were there to cheer them on the red carpet, help with lunch and recess routines and walk the kinders to their buses!
Friday was our first SOAR assembly and everyone had a new yellow We Are Eagles – future Hillcrest Husky – t-shirt to wear. Students were reminded of our SOAR expectations, how to earn Dojo points and class parties.
It was a busy week of learning new routines. Overhead in the halls by our SLP Ms. Thorpe — my favorite part of the week is MATH!! Teachers are rolling out a new curriculum and it seems to be going well. See you next week!
