Who We Are
East Midvale Elementary has been a neighborhood elementary school for over 60 years. Each day, our student body of 550 pre-school through 5th grade students have breakfast in the classroom, engaging academics, high quality teaching, social and emotional learning lessons, enrichment programs and fun!
We have an morning and afternoon preschool Monday through Thursday and an all day Kindergarten Monday through Friday.
In 2012, we became a Community School partnering with United Way of Salt Lake and many other businesses and organizations to support students and families outside the classroom.
Our Mission
East Midvale Eagles SOAR through (S) self-management, (O) ownership, (A) Acceptance and (R) resilience.
Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming and nurturing school environment where all students are supported in their learning and achieve success.

By May 2025 we will increase RISE math proficiency scores by 3-5% in grade 3 and increase math RISE mean growth percentile (MGP) by 10 points in grades 4 and 5.
BEHAVIOR GOALS 2024-25
By February 2025 we will reduce Office Discipline Referrals (ODR’s) from the playground by 50%. Implementing structured recess is supporting this.
