Today was college day at East Midvale. Higher education is the next station stop along the track for success. Students – of any age – attend college to learn and practice the skills to achieve their goals. In the cafeteria, all the options for colleges in Utah were displayed, logos on tables and students got to sit at the table with the school they would choose and then to sign their name on the banner. Fun music – and even a fight song or two – was played during lunch.
Teachers were wearing their college spirit wear and there may have been some teacher sway based on their own alma maters!
Each student in Ms. Fatai’s 5th grade class created their own college pennant and wrote the reason why they choose that school on the back! They are on track for college and career success!
