Veterans Day was honored at East Midvale by a special assembly planned and hosted by our fifth graders. Students in Mr. Wilhite’s class gave us all information about each branch of our military and the history behind November 11 being Veterans Day. The book A Poppy Is To Remember was read and videos from service members around the world saying hello to East Midvale Eagles were showed! Many in our community have family members who have served or are serving in our military. A picture board was created to showcase some of those pictures shared by you!
The EnCOURAGEment wall was filled throughout the day with notes written by students to lift up and encourage each other.
