  • 5:36 AmberLee approved minutes from Sept 4 meeting
  • School Data review and last year’s plan
    • BLT Agenda: Reading Composite scores. Looked at percentages of each grade ‘At or Above-’ and ‘Below or Well Below’ Noticed that younger grades come in below
  • Looked at Math Composite. Noticed big percentage of 1st graders Below or Well Below. Noticed a need for more math support
  • Last year’s goal: Did we meet them? MGP for math has not been reported yet. Holding off on percentage scores. Previewed goals and where we are at.
  •
  • 5:48 Bylaws Update: Looked at highlighted parts to change/add. Motion to adopt new bylaws recommendations. Approved.
  • Robert’s Rules in Compliance, nothing new needed
  • 5:51 Positive Behavior Plan: Comes from our school social worker. Went over everything our Wellness Team does this year. Added Moms Matter. Included list of clubs, opportunities, pro-social activities, programs, and service opportunities. Motion moved to accept and approved
  • 6:01 Moved to adopt, and approved. Digital Citizenship Plan: Staff training completed. Technology plan presented. School will be sending out flyers on ParentSquare in all languages. Flyers cover district safeguards for students, technology available by grade, the Digital Citizenship school plan/lessons, communication, and resources. The flyer also covers that Classlink replacing Clever, the Elevated 8, and educational tools and programs that are used in the classroom at EME. Digital Citizenship week starts October 13.
  • 6:05 Electronic Device Policy. SB 178: students may not use personal technology from bell to bell. First two times taken to office, student may pick up at the end of the day, after the third time, parent must pick up and meet with administration.
  • 6:08 Safe Walking Route, due October 31, 2025. Looked at walking route online. What percentage of school is bussed vs. walk vs. pickup? Talked about possible boundary changes. Discussion on wanting speed bumps on 300 east. Maybe expanding school flashing lights (school zone). Maybe put SRO out there in a car to get people to slow down. 500 e and larchwood drive is only a two way stop, may need to be a four way stop. Possible to keep crossing guards a little bit longer (5-10 minutes). Need to reiterate cannot park on 300 East to pick up students.

MOTION at 6:33 moved and approved.

  • Behavior and attendance looking good, tracking system in place to see if support systems are working.
  • Permit follow-up: permits open up for next year next month, won’t be looked at until after Feb 6.
  • September lockdown drill-went well, found one door broken, getting fixed
  • Land Trust TSSP approved 🙂
  • Motion to adjourn at 6:41 pm
