HAPPENINGS LAST WEEK:
- Thank you to our PTA for a wonderful Red Ribbon Week. From walking the red carpet on Monday to trotting on Friday during the Turkey Trot, students were engaged in the message of Life is a Movie: Film Drug Free. PTA showed the film Arthur’s Thanksgiving at the first ever EME movie night and it was a huge success with many families asking for another.
- Our annual Turkey Trot was successful and fun. Thank you to all those PTA and parent volunteers who gave heir time to set up, give out water cups, cheer on students and clean up after the event. Thank you to Zions Bank for all the turkeys, pies and cider!
- East Midvale’s Girls on the Run team made us so proud on a cold and snowy Saturday morning 5K in Sugarhouse park! These girls have trained and bonded as a team over the past 8 weeks and did great in their first official run! Thank you to our EME coaches Ms. Pereira, Ms. Sturgis, Ms. Taylor and Ms. Payne for all the time they gave! See photos below.
STUDENT OF THE MONTH ASSEMBLY is Friday November 22. Students who showed exceptional Acceptance in November will be named Student of the Month by their teacher and receive recognition at the assembly!

PTA BOXTOP UPDATE: Congrats to all our Box Tops for Education supporters for increasing our annual earnings to over $200! Let’s see how much higher we can go for our November challenge!
