GIFT BAGS All students at East Midvale will receive and open a bag of personalized gifts this Thursday December 14 through Vivint Gives Back. Our school community is very grateful for these abundant gifts!
- If you plan to pick up your student that day, please wait until dismissal at 2:50 pm and meet your student as they exit their hallways.
- If your student usually takes the bus and you plan to pick them up, please message or tell the teacher before Thursday.
- We ask for your patience that day as we negotiate all the logistics of getting students with all their things to buses and pick ups.
- There will be a lot of activity that day and it will likely take the office some time to get your student, so if you have an appointment that afternoon please allow extra time for checkout.
- THANK YOU to the THE MADELEINE CHOIR SCHOOL who will be visiting on December 14, bringing a choir and singing Christmas carols in the halls for students to enjoy!
PARENT HOLIDAY PROGRAM is on Friday December 15 starting at 8:30 am and we invite families to enjoy some holiday cheer!
- Each grade will enter the gym, sing 2 songs and then exit the gym.
- Our program starts with 5th grade, then 4th, 3rd, Kinder, 1st and then 2nd grade.
- Families can enter through front doors and exit through the gym north door.
- Parents may come for the whole time or for a specific grade singing – please plan your entry or exit during grade level changes.
PAJAMA DAY and STUDENT OF THE MONTH ASSEMBLY will be on Tuesday December 19 – the last day before winter recess. Students can wear pajamas and SOAR t-shirts! If you are volunteering to help at classroom parties, please make sure to fill out a volunteer registration online by Tuesday. VOLUNTEER
WINTER RECESS is Wed. Dec. 20- Mon. Jan. 1, 2024. There will be no school. We welcome students back to school on TUESDAY January 2, 2024 at 8:10 am.
SPELLING BEE WORDS! – The holiday break is a great time for your student to practice spelling words for the competitions in February! Students in grades 3-5th will compete and our 2 school winners go to the Regionals on March 9. Thank you to our PTA for sponsorship again this year.
