NO SCHOOL MONDAY SEPTEMBER 4 – it is Labor Day Holiday!
MOBILE FOOD PANTRY at EME! On Tuesday September 5, the Utah Food Bank and volunteers from Snap Finance will be distributing a bag of free groceries to students and families. Any student with a need can stand in line for a bag. The bags are heavy (20 pounds) and if you are able to either pick up your student at school or at the bus stop to help carry, that would be helpful. If you would like your family to receive a bag, please remind your student to attend.
FRESH PRODUCE MARKET Tuesday Sept. 5 at 2:30 pm. Parents can pick up a bag of fresh produce while supplies last. Thank you Rancho Markets and community funders for this resource. University of Utah’s Center for Nutrition will be doing the Veggie Meter if you are interested!
PARENT SQUARE – East Midvale and Canyons School District uses Parent Square to communicate with parents. Please register by clicking on the invitation and setting a password. You can set your preferred language of communication once you register. You will receive communications from the school in that language and you can respond in your language and teachers will be able to read the response in English. You can only view attachments if you have registered. Thank you.
FREE WIFI INTERNET – Canyons District continues to provide free internet for families through Comcast Internet Essentials. To enroll, reply to this post or call Mrs. McCall at East Midvale at 801 826 8406. Ask for a Comcast Code. Then call Comcast at 1-844-963 0178 with the code.
SAFE PICK UP AND DROP OFF: Our goal is to keep every student and every parent safe during pick up and drop off when there is lots of activity. Please be a good example by using the crosswalks and being patient. The drop off and pick up lane closest to the curb is only to quickly drop off or pick up a student. If you or your student need more time to transition to and from school, please park in the parking lot and cross at the crosswalk flags with them. Thank you.
