Local author Tiffany Rosenhan visited with our 4th and 5th grade students on Tuesday. She talked about how reading shapes our brain starting at a very young age. She discussed how reading makes you smarter and healthier! Our students had great answers to her questions and must surely understand how the importance of reading.

Many families came early to school on Wednesday to read and eat a donut! Thank you PTA for hosting this event.
READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY! On Thursday volunteers from CHG, American Express and Enterprise Rental visited classrooms at East Midvale. They brought the book Dragons Love Tacos for every student, read the book as students followed along and then the class wrote their own circle story! What a great volunteer event! Everyone had fun!
