Parent Update Week of October 3-7, 2022

THANK YOU parents and guardians for attending conferences last week.  And thank you for supporting the Book Fair.   The school now has $1200 Scholastic Bucks to purchase books for classrooms.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Students of the Month for Self Management!  And congratulations to Ms. Skenderi, 3rd grade teacher and Charlotte Graham for teacher and staff of the month.

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY IS TUESDAY OCT. 4:  Provided by the Utah Food Bank and sponsored by Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Any family can participate.  There is one 20 pound bag per family of mostly non-perishable items.  Please plan to either pick up your student or meet them at the bus to help carry the food bag.

TUESDAY PRODUCE MARKET is from 2:25 pm to 2:50 pm and parents need to come to pick up a bag.   Fresh produce at no cost to our school families.  Bring a reusable bag.  Thank you Zions Bank and Food for All.

UPFH MOBILE MEDICAL CLINIC – THURSDAY October 5 at East Midvale.  You will need to schedule an appointment to be seen by calling 385-204-6257.  Services include acute or chronic illness check, blood pressure care, diabetes care, pap smear, anxiety and depression care, and more.  For adults on Medicaid, Medicare or uninsured.

  • Oct. 28 – Halloween Parade, Parties and Haunted Pumpkin Patch
  • Oct. 28 – Boo to the Flu Clinic – no cost flu shots for parents and students.
  • Oct. 31 – Student of the Month Assembly – OWNERSHIP – wear spirit wear to school!

LOST and FOUND:  Did your student come home without an item (jacket, sweater, lunchbox, etc.) that they went to school in or with?  Please have them check the lost and found by the library.  It is filling up.   We will donate items in lost and found at the end of the month so please check it in a timely way.
